the making of lucky bears

who created it?

Lucky Bears is created by Stacy & Annabelle, a mother and daughter team who loves both boards games and the national parks. The love uncomplicated games they can teach in a few minutes and can play again and again.

does it have all the national parks?

Yes, every national park is represented. There are currently 64 national parks, and you’ll find them all as tokens in the game.

what kind of game is this?

It like a mix between Sudoku and Sequence. You’re dealing with numbers, and you want those numbers to be in order. In the game you want to be the first player to fill your board with national parks tokens. The numbers must in numerical order, both horizontally and vertically. We drew inspiration from the game, Lucky Numbers, designed by Michael Schacht. We hope you will check it out as well.

where can I buy it?

We hope to launch on Kickstarter soon, fulfilling games by the end of the year. Then it will be available on Amazon.

is it really only a 2-player game?

Yes, it’s meant for two players. You could play with four players if you you have two sets of Lucky Bears. Otherwise, it’s best for two. If you want to play as a family 3-6, we recommend doing what what we do and create a tournament-style game where you have brackets and playoffs!
